Meow Wolf's immersive exhibit in Houston, titled "Radio Tave," is set to open in October, promising to transport visitors to unexpected frequencies, according to a Tuesday announcement.
State of the art: The installation will open on Oct. 31, at 2103 Lyons Ave., in Fifth Ward.
- Guests will be able to explore a radio station where they will be transported to another dimension, navigating a labyrinth of paths, portals and hidden doors — all filled with interactive mysteries waiting to be solved.
Why it matters: Meow Wolf has gained prominence in the art world for its experiential environments that blend art, technology and storytelling. It allows visitors — many of whom travel specifically for the experience — to explore alternate realities and narrative-driven spaces, often infused with social commentary.

The $42 million "Radio Tave" exhibit features dozens of rooms designed by over 100 artists, including more than 50 from Texas.
What they're saying: "The visuals and soundscapes of 'Radio Tave' are on another level," Meow Wolf senior creative producer Susie Cowan said in a statement.
- "Visitors will be immersed in a rich, multi-sensory experience that invites them to explore a world that feels both vast and deeply personal."
Go deeper: Meow Wolf in Houston will also include Cowboix Hevvven, an "interdimensional" cowboy dive bar and restaurant, along with a venue space and gift shop.
What's next: Presale tickets are available for Portal Pass holders on Sept. 17 and Meow Wolf email subscribers on Sept. 24.
- General public ticket sales open Oct. 1.
