Some Axios editing news

Everett here with some news — this is my last week at Axios and editing Axios Detroit.

Flashback: This job has coincided with the greatest couple years of my life. I moved to Metro Detroit, got engaged, adopted a Rufus and then watched Michigan win a national title in Houston and the Lions' first playoff win since 1991.

• It's been so fun to get to know our readers by sharing some of that with you — it's the beauty of the newsletter format, in my opinion.
• And I will always be grateful for your greenhouse tips.

Between the lines: I moved roughly 10 times after graduating from Michigan and hadn't lived in the mitten since then. Lots of boxes, lots of interesting places.

• But nowhere is more fascinating than Detroit, especially right now, when past wounds and future promises are clashing with current realities.
