The partnership leading the creation of the Joe Louis Greenway plans to host more events this year with music, art and pop-up shops, Crain's reports.
What's happening: Local vendors will be setting up for new events along completed portions of the 30-mile walking and cycling loop.
Last month the Joe Louis Greenway Partnership hosted a holiday Santa event at the West Warren Gateway trailhead, the first to open.
What they're saying: Partnership executive director Leona Medley told Crain's she's working out how to host events through the winter to help with seasonal isolation.
What's next: The loop is expected to be fully completed in five to 10 years, depending on fundraising efforts.
