Panera Bread leaving Jordan Creek Town Center location

Panera Bread is leaving its longstanding location at Jordan Creek Town Center, per West Des Moines city documents obtained by Axios.

State of play: Kura Sushi, a popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant, will be moving into the space.

The restaurant plans on opening sometime in 2026.

What they're saying: Panera Bread spokesperson Sinead Conlon shared that the lease for the Jordan Creek Town Center locations ends in June and the franchisee is searching for a relocation spot in the area.

Brookfield Properties, the owner of Jordan Creek Town Center, declined to comment.

The big picture: Following an earnings slump, Panera Bread's CEO announced this month that the company is undergoing an overhaul to boost sales, including improving its food quality, introducing new menu items and hiring more workers, per Independent.
