The nation's political focus now pivots at warp speed to New Hampshire, which will hold the first-in-the-nation primary in one week.

State of play: Trump's lead there is slimmer than in Iowa, recent polls show.

What they's saying: "Tonight, Iowa made this Republican primary a two-person race," Haley told Iowa supporters last night.

The intrigue: Instead of New Hampshire, Ron DeSantis plans to go directly to Haley's home state of South Carolina to campaign following his Iowa caucus party last night, the AP reports.

  • South Carolina's Feb. 24 primary is the third in this year's GOP nomination calendar with the Nevada caucuses.

Of note: Vivek Ramaswamy suspended his campaign shortly after most caucus results were reported β€”Β and endorsed Trump.

Reality check: The race is still heavily in Trump's favor.

  • The betting odds of him landing the GOP presidential nomination are nearly 74%, according to RealClearPolitics.
