Nuggets, Avs release local TV schedule

The Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets will return to local airwaves soon.

State of play: The teams' owner Kroenke Sports & Entertainment on Monday released the two schedules for games airing on local stations as the 2025-26 NBA and NHL season are set to start next month.

Why it matters: Hockey and basketball fans will each score 20 free, over-the-air games on TENGA stations 9NEWS (KUSA-TV) and My20 (KTVD-TV) — a move Kroenke says will give nearly 3.5 million people free access in the metro area.

Flashback: Altitude Sports reached an agreement with Comcast last year, ending a six-year blackout that prevented games from airing on Denver's primary cable provider.

What to watch: The Colorado Avalanche will premiere on My20 against the Dallas Stars on Oct. 11, while the Denver Nuggets will host the Phoenix Suns Oct. 25 in their My20 TV debut.

Other notable local games include the Avs hosting the Red Wings on Feb. 2, 2026, followed by the Nuggets visiting the defending NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, on March 9, 2026.
