Before we say sayonara to June, we're looking back at the best bites we had this month as part of our running series spotlighting downright delicious dishes.
Here are our picks:
π Alayna: I like slurping spicy soup even when it's 90 degrees out. That's what drew me to the khao soi at Uncle β a rich and creamy curry broth loaded with king trumpet mushrooms, chili jam and a pile of crispy noodles for crunch.
Pro tip: Uncle's Wash Park location now serves sushi for a cool counterpoint to their ramen lineup. It's perfect for summer.
π Gigi: Step inside Johnny Curiel's mezcal-soaked ode to Mexico City and you're instantly transported. A glowing wall of spirits and towering lineup of whole, dry-aged fish set the stage at LoHi's Mezcaleria Alma, the bold sibling to next-door's Alma Fonda Fina.
If you go: Start with the Tostada De Toro β citrusy and creamy smashed avocado crowned with slices of dry-aged fatty tuna. And don't sleep on the build-your-own pork belly tacos.
πΉπ John: Good takeout meals are the best. And if you're looking for Thai food, you can't do better than Busaba in Boulder County.
If you go: Order the drunken noodles and sweet basil eggplant.
