154. Arrow Electronics (Centennial): $27.9 billion — down 21 spots from last year

225. Newmont (Denver): $18.7B — up 124 spots

273. EchoStar (Englewood): $15.8B — down 31

331. DaVita (Denver): $12.8B — up 10

349. Ball Corp. (Westminster): $12.1B — down 45

405. VF Corp. (Denver): $10.5B — down 50

416. QVC Group (Englewood): $10B — down 46

438. Ovintiv (Denver): $9.2B — down 65

The intrigue: For the second year running, Colorado's Fortune 500 count is shrinking — from 10 in 2023 to nine in 2024, and now just eight.

• Three-quarters of this year's Colorado cohort dropped in the rankings.

The big picture: Walmart topped the magazine's annual list for the 13th straight year. Amazon, UnitedHealth Group, Apple and CVS Health round out the top five.

• Together, the top 500 pulled in $1.87 trillion in profits — up 10% from last year and a record in dollar terms, per Fortune.
