Golf-adjacent entertainment is popping up everywhere in Central Ohio for those who aren't interested in watching the pros — or taking the sport too seriously.

The big picture: Indoor golf is having a moment, the Wall Street Journal reports, highlighting the private virtual simulator Intown Golf Club that opened its first Ohio location in Dublin in 2024.

By the numbers: The WSJ reports the number of people who played "green-grass golf" (the regular, outside game) rose 17% from 2019-2024, per the National Golf Foundation.

Meanwhile, "non-green-grass" golf rose 170%.
