Since moving to a new Arena District home in 2021, the Crew has built momentum on packed crowds and good atmosphere — but is it waning?
Why it matters: Some fans say they're being priced out, while others worry costs are stalling that momentum.
The Nordecke supporters group reduced ticket allotment this year after it "struggled" to sell out non-headliner games last season, group spokesperson Collin Hill tells Axios.
- "Price was a very large concern both for our organization and individual fans."
What they're saying: Hill says many Nordecke members have opted not to renew or have reduced their package to "only what is necessary to renew."
- "From member feedback, we learned that affordable access to tickets was the primary concern of fans and members going forward. People absolutely do still want to attend matches. It has simply become a larger financial commitment to do so."
Between the lines: Season ticket prices aren't public and vary by seat location, but fans have expressed their frustration at cost increases on social media.
- They've also crowdsourced a price tracker.
Case in point: After a title-winning 2023, season ticket demand necessitated a waitlist that continued into 2025.
- That waitlist is no longer, and plenty of unsold tickets remain for the March 7 home opener.
The other side: Even if demand has slightly dipped, expect sellouts and large crowds at many games.
- Nordecke tickets are sold out for the season amid "strong demand" all around, Crew spokesperson Rob McBurnett tells Axios.
- The team "evaluated various market factors when determining 2026 prices," he says, and "will always prioritize accessible price points, a variety of offerings and flexible payment options for all Crew fans."
Fun facts: The Crew had capacity crowds at 15 of 16 regular season matches last year, and have sold out 47 of 50 regular season matches since the start of 2023.
- That includes a stretch of 34 consecutive matches.
- Those figures smash previous records of seven sellouts in a season and four sellouts in a row.
