The newest branch in the Columbus Metropolitan Library system offers more than rows and rows of books.
Between the stacks: The Reynoldsburg library at 1402 Brice Road opened in April with cozy work stations, a sizable teen area and a picturesque aquarium near the front desk.
When we visited last week, a mobile video game room was stationed for kids in the parking lot.
The big picture: The system is working to build "21st century libraries" across the region.
More than a dozen branches have been renovated, expanded or rebuilt over the past decade.
Four more reopenings are planned in 2025 at the Linden, Barnett, Marion-Franklin and Canal Winchester branches.
