Chappell Roan's sold-out show was Cleveland's top concert of 2024

The intrigue: The concert of the year belonged to Chappell Roan, whose May 28 show at The Agora was moved to the larger Jacobs Pavilion that still could barely accommodate her rising star power. 

• Thousands of fans, dressed to match Roan's glamorous aesthetic, lined up hours before the gates opened.
• Three months later, she drew 110,000 people for her Lollapalooza performance in Chicago.

Between the lines: Other 2024 highlights included The Rolling Stones' June 15 concert at Huntington Bank Field, the band's first Northeast Ohio gig in more than 20 years. 

• On Sept. 13, Billy Joel and Rod Stewart packed the stadium while rap star Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2 World Tour" took place minutes away at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
• Then there was the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony's return to Cleveland on Oct. 19, featuring performances by Cher with Dua Lipa, Dave Matthews Band and a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
