DaBaby announced Monday he's bringing a hip-hop festival to Concord this summer.
Why it matters: The Be More Grateful Fest lineup includes 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Waka Flocka and about a dozen more artists, DaBaby posted on his Instagram Monday.
Driving the news: Be More Grateful Fest will be at Route 29 Pavilion in Concord on Saturday, June 13.
- Presale tickets go on sale Thursday, March 26, with general sales starting Friday, March 27.
- Other artists featured on the festival's website include Boosie, Webbie, BigXThaPlug, YKNiece, Bubba B, Big Boogie, Trap Dickey, Fetty P Franklin and Mellow Rackz.
Between the lines: Fans noticed Charlotte wasn't on DaBaby's tour schedule. Instead, the rapper will bring a major event closer to home.
Flashback: DaBaby brought a few of the artists listed in the upcoming festival lineup to Charlotte previously. Last year, he hosted his Billion Dollar Baby Birthday Bash at Spectrum Center, where BigXthaPlug, Boosie and 50 Cent also made appearances.

The big picture: DaBaby's festival announcement lands at a moment of uncertainty for North Carolina's music festival scene.
- Plans for Lovin' Life Music Fest won't return to Charlotte in 2026, and organizers behind the successor to Raleigh's Dreamville Festival still haven't announced 2026 dates.
What they're saying: A spokesperson for DaBaby did not respond to Axios' request for comment.
Zoom in: DaBaby, a Charlotte native and Vance High School graduate, is a Grammy-nominated rapper known to represent his hometown through his lyrics, clothing choices, filming locations and by showing up at large and small events for the city. He's also been at the center of several controversies, Axios' Alex Sands previously reported.
