The city's first women's sports bar is preparing to open downtown.

Why it matters: The venue at 2 Broad St. would give Boston's growing lineup of women's pro teams a dedicated gathering spot.

State of play: The Sports Bra Boston is a franchise of the Portland, Oregon, original.

No opening date has been announced.
The 3,243-square-foot space has over 100 seats and eight local co-owners behind the franchise.

The big picture: Screens will show teams like Boston Legacy FC, the Boston Fleet and the Boston Hunters. A full kitchen is planned. They're making local women-owned suppliers a priority.

Zoom in: Owners are finishing renovations and the permitting process.

They've secured a liquor license, the BBJ reports.
A sign on the door promises a fall 2026 debut, according to Boston.com.

Between the lines: The owners began as Watch With Us, hosting women's sports watch parties in 2024.

They signed on as a Sports Bra franchisee last year.

What's next: Another franchise is planned for Portland, Maine.
