Boston Children's Hospital tops U.S. News rankings in 7 specialties

State of play: Children's, working with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, ranked first nationwide in cancer treatment, per the rankings released Tuesday.

• The hospital ranked first in six other categories: gastroenterology & GI surgery, neonatology, nephrology, neurology & neurosurgery, pulmonology and lung surgery, and urology.

Children's was also ranked No. 1 in New England, followed by Yale New Haven Children's Hospital and Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.

How it works: U.S. News and RTI International,, a North Carolina-based research firm, surveyed over 40,000 pediatric specialists and 100 hospitals nationwide, in early 2026.
