Texas chain behind Morton's, Bubba Gump looks to buy Oyster House

Boston's Licensing Board will weigh a sale of Union Oyster House, the 200-year-old Union Street institution.

The buyer: the Houston-based hospitality company that owns Chart House, McCormick & Schmick's, Morton's and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Why it matters: Landry's Inc. would become the restaurant's fifth owner since 1826, ending the Milano family's decades-long stewardship.

State of play: The board will hear the company's pitch for the sale Wednesday.
