Thousands of Scotland fans in kilts sang, waved flags and nursed cans of beer on Evans Way Sunday afternoon.
The big picture: The Tartan Army's victory lap continued well after Scotland beat Haiti, 1-0, in a group stage World Cup match Saturday night at Boston Stadium.
Catch up quick: More than 64,000 Scotland and Haiti fans packed Boston Stadium Saturday night, selling out the Commuter Rail trains there.
- Scotland scored its only goal early on and, despite forward Frantzdy Pierrot's best efforts, they shut out Haiti.
State of play: Scotland fans filled the Fenway area the next day for their fan walk, marching from Evans Way to Fenway.
What they're saying: "You come to places like this and you see everybody in a good mood and happy and proud to be Scottish," says Brandon Murphy, who came from Scotland to watch the match.
Zoom out: The stakes are high for both teams.
- This is Scotland's first time at the World Cup in 28 years.
- For Haiti, it's the first time in 52 years.
ğŸ‡ğŸ‡¹ Haiti held its fan walk Saturday with Mayor Michelle Wu and City Councilor Ruthzee Louijeune cheering them on.
- "It's a moment of jubilee," said Louijeune, who is Haitian American. "We are the third-largest Haitian diaspora. This is a gorgeous moment for us."
- While they lost, Haiti fans remained in good spirits and enjoyed the fanfare.
What's next: Scotland faces off against Morocco on June 19, and then Brazil on June 24.
