Boston announces FIFA World Cup watch parties and Fan Fest signup

Catch up quick: The Fan Festival runs June 12 through June 27 and will feature local musicians and artists as well as livestreams of World Cup games. (Find their operating hours here.)

How it works: The Boston host committee requires people to register for whichever days they plan to attend.

• Up to six people can be registered per application.
• Children under age 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to enter.
• The festival will have security screening and will impose a clear bag policy, like at most major venues.

The latest: The city will also host six community watch parties between June 15 and July 19 in at least three neighborhoods.

• That's in addition to the restaurants and bars hosting watch parties, like the Substation in Roslindale and the Haven in Jamaica Plain.

• Spain vs. Cabo Verde: 1pm June 15, Town Field in Dorchester
• Brazil vs. Haiti: 9pm June 19 at the Parkman Bandstand on the Boston Common
• Colombia vs. Portugal: 7:30pm on June 27 at the East Boston Memorial Stadium
• Semifinals: 3pm July 14 and July 15, locations TBD.
• Final: 3pm July 19, location TBD.
