The Massachusetts Historical Society digitized three account books from the Revere Family Papers, and a fourth is set to be uploaded.
The intrigue: These account books shed light on Revere's work as a silversmith, his customers and business practices.
What they're saying: "Paul Revere is well known but not known well at all," said Nina Zannieri, executive director of the Paul Revere Memorial Association, which commissioned the digitization.
"Making the Revere Family Papers more accessible through digitization helps bring a more complete understanding of his role as a silversmith, businessman, innovator and entrepreneur."
