For the late-night pre-Thanksgiving crowd, Satellite hosts "It's Giving," an open drag event, 8-11pm.

Saturday, 11/29

The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square hosts its 40th annual tree lighting, with hot chocolate, crafts and a mail drop to Santa, 4-7pm.

Sunday, 11/30

Catch the 15th annual Japanese Film Festival at the MIT Strata Center, 1-6pm.

Price: Suggested donation of $10, but free.
