Axios Boston readers say traffic is getting worse

Here's what some of our readers had to say:

• "It's worse because it's no longer confined to the couple hours around rush hour," one reader wrote in.
• They weren't alone in the sentiment. Readers said rush-hour-level traffic now happens before 7am on weekdays and nearly all day on weekends.

You say it's getting harder to get around the region. One reader travels from Medford to southeastern Mass. to visit relatives and says travel time has gone up about a third.

• "Taking that trip on the weekend used to be 1.5 hours at worst, now it can easily hit 2 hours on a Saturday or in the middle of a weekday."

Some drivers are only making things worse. Readers report increasingly aggressive behavior behind the wheel including blocked merges and speeding, with conditions deteriorating enough that they switched to public transit.

• "It's so bad that I just take the T (which is saying something!)."

And you say delivery services are adding to the gridlock.

• "A lot of the congestion is completely unnecessarily and caused by things like uber / grocery delivery drivers parking in bus lanes (or any lanes for that matter) which reduces traffic flow down to 1 lane."
• You mentioned mopeds, jaywalking and intersection blocking as compounding factors, saying you want stricter enforcement and more tickets written.
