Mass. Pike traffic nightmare this weekend

Why it matters: The work will affect traffic both ways during what's sure to be a busy Juneteenth holiday weekend.

• MassDOT expects 2-3 hour delays.
• Closures start Friday at 9pm through Monday at 5am.

This is the second round of scheduled disruptions.

• Similar closures in May saw over 100,000 vehicles a day forced into single lanes.
• Commuter rail service between Framingham and South Station will also be suspended, so there's no public transit salve here.
