Patriots Place sign shows furry memes

The entrance sign at Patriots Place, the Foxborough campus that houses the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium, displayed images and memes related to gay furry subculture Tuesday, according to several social media posts.

The latest: Photos and videos posted to Facebook, Reddit and other sites showed the Patriots Place sign displaying non-explicit cartoon images of anthropomorphic dogs, a cat and one very suggestive purple wolf on a rainbow background.

The memes are typically associated with the "furry" subculture that takes an interest in animal characters drawn to look human.
Slogans like "gay furry pride" and the "boykisser" meme could also be seen in posted images of the Patriots' front sign.

A spokesperson for the Patriots did not immediately respond to a request for comment about whether the cartoons were unauthorized or how long they remained on display.
