See one of the Paul Revere lanterns for free at Concord Museum

The Concord Museum is offering free admission this week during February school vacation.

The star of the show is one of the original lanterns from the Old North Church that signaled Paul Revere to begin his famous midnight ride on April 18, 1775.

Revere instructed church sexton Robert Newman to alert patriots across the river in Charlestown when British troops began to march.

The museum features immersive galleries and artifacts from April 19, 1775, when British troops marched on assembled Massachusetts militia and kicked off the American Revolutionary War.

The museum's open from 10am to 4pm. Free admission runs through Sunday Feb. 23.
It's all leading up to the 250th anniversary of the start of the Revolution this April.
