Boston will be packed with concerts, festivals and historic milestones in 2025, including anniversaries commemorating the American Revolution.
- Here's what's in store, in chronological order.
BPS Family Days
Mayor Wu expanded Boston's pilot program letting BPS students get into certain museums for free, expanding it to all K–12 students in Boston on the first and second Sunday of each month.
The program now involves nine institutions, including the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Museum of African American History and the JFK Presidential Library and Museum.
Red Sox Opening Day
The Red Sox kick off Opening Day at Fenway Park with a game against the St. Louis Cardinals at 2:10pm April 4.
- The 2025–26 schedules haven't been released yet for the Bruins, Celtics or Patriots.
Patriots' Day weekend
Massachusetts celebrates the 250th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord, considered the start of the Revolutionary War, on April 19.
- Concord and Lexington have parades.
- Lexington will also hold a sunrise reenactment on its historic Battle Green, starting 5:30am.
The Boston Marathon will be on April 21, the official Patriots' Day.
PAX East
Boston's major gaming convention returns to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center May 8–11. Organizers haven't released the schedule and guest list yet.

Boston Calling 2025
Boston Calling's back at the Harvard Athletic Complex May 23–25 with Luke Combs, Fall Out Boy and the Dave Matthews Band among the headliners.

Bunker Hill Day
Bostonians will celebrate the Battle of Bunker Hill (technically the Battle of Breed's Hill) on June 17.
- The battle reenactment will happen in Gloucester, not Charlestown, because of congestion and National Park Service restrictions, per the Boston Globe.
