WCVB — that's Channel 5 — has been getting a ration of crap from viewers on social media for airing a clip of pedestrians walking down Newbury Street this week and missing a very famous face dead center in the shot.

Why it matters: Megastar actress Zendaya and her mother, Claire Stoermer, just happened to be strolling right in front of the camera, and the station didn't even mention it on-air until it was brought to their attention by social media posts.

Anchor Antoinette Antonio took it in stride, admitting later to the station's oversight and thanking a TikTok user for letting them and 300,000 others know of the omission.

What they're saying: "They got a good chuckle that we didn't even realize it was Zendaya," Antonio said.

"I didn't even know what she looks like," her co-anchor Doug Meehan quipped, maintaining his obliviousness to the last.

The intrigue: Zendaya is in town filming the movie "The Drama" which also stars Robert Pattinson.
