Alleged brothel clients from Mass. and Virginia will be identified

• Over two dozen "johns" have been fighting in court to keep their identities secret.

Catch up quick: Last November, federal authorities arrested three people accused of running the high-end sex ring out of luxury apartment buildings.

• Prosecutors alleged that the prostitution ring worked out of apartments in the Arsenal complex in Watertown and the Fresh Pond area in Cambridge.
• The trio advertised the brothels on two websites offering nude models that were fronts for the sex ring, according to prosecutors.
• The charging documents said rates ranged from $350-$600 per hour in cash.

Han Lee of Cambridge, Junmyung Lee of Dedham and James Lee of Torrance, California, were charged with conspiracy to coerce and entice to travel to engage in illegal sexual activity.

• Junmyung Lee and Han Lee pleaded guilty to being behind the ring in September and October. James Lee is expected to also plead guilty next month.

The latest: The Supreme Judicial Court ruled "show cause hearings" for the alleged johns will be public.

• The SCJ found that the public had a legitimate interest in details of the case and that holding the hearings behind closed doors could show bias in favor of the rich and powerful clients.

What they're saying: "They will undoubtedly lose their jobs, lose their professions and have their lives ripped apart," the attorney for five of the alleged clients, Benjamin Urbelis, argued before the court in September.

What's next: It's expected the court will schedule probable cause hearings for the alleged clients in late January or early February, according to WBZ, and that's when their names will become public.
