Harvard University suspended about 25 faculty members from its main Widener Library for two weeks after they staged a silent "study-in" protest to support Palestinians.
Why it matters: It's an unprecedented disciplinary action by the school against its own professors, according to the Crimson.
What they're saying: "Seeking attention is in itself disruptive," Harvard Library head Martha Whitehead told the student paper, adding that reading rooms aren't meant for "group action."
The big picture: The silent faculty protest was meant to show solidarity with students who were already suspended from the library for their own pro-Palestinian study-in last month.
