Pro soccer team owners propose bar, restaurant at White Stadium

Driving the news: Boston Unity Soccer Partners, which owns Boston's upcoming professional women's soccer team, wants a restaurant and a bar on the stadium property, according to a letter of intent sent this week to Boston planning officials.

• The letter also mentions the new construction would house retail and storage facilities.

Between the lines: Boston Unity Soccer Partners and the city, which owns the stadium, would split renovations of the stadium, UniversalHub reports.

• Boston Unity plans to renovate the grandstand on the west side of the stadium to include locker rooms, food distribution facilities and a press area, per the letter.

Flashback: The organization announced in September the Boston Unity Soccer Club would launch in 2026 as part of the National Women's Soccer League.

• The team's owners also plan to maintain the space for Boston Public Schools practices and other community events.
