Federal authorities on Wednesday charged a man in New York for building a large explosive device that he planned to set off on election day on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to kill himself and draw attention to "sortition."
The details: The alleged plot has been thwarted and the man, identified Paul Rosenfeld, is in federal custody. Law enforcement raided his apartment in Tappan, on Tuesday and found the functional bomb weighing approximately 200 pounds.
