Taylor Swift Super Bowl halftime not ruled out by NFL commissioner

Taylor Swift's already intertwined relationship with the National Football League could score a touchdown at the 2026 Super Bowl.

The big picture: The wildly successful pop star, who recently got engaged to the Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce, will "maybe" perform in next year's Super Bowl halftime show, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a Today Show interview on Wednesday.

Swift's recent Eras Tour — with 149 shows across five continents — became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.

Driving the news: "We would always love to have Taylor play," Goodell said. "She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time."

He said he couldn't confirm whether a Swift halftime show was in the works: "It's a maybe."

State of play: Super Bowl LX will be on Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers.

The last Super Bowl halftime show performer, Kendrick Lamar, was announced in September 2024.

The intrigue: Super Bowls are lucrative for their host cities — and Swift is known to boost local economies with her performances.
