Vice President Harris and former President Trump tied in Dixville Notch as the first Election Day results were announced Tuesday in the tiny New Hampshire township.

The big picture: An election official noted voters in the town were "following the national trends" in the midnight vote, with three people voting for Harris and three others for Trump. Polls show the presidential race is a virtual dead heat.
