Exclusive: New Biden campaign video targets Trump over IVF

• Democrats have increasingly linked Trump, who has bragged about appointing the three Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe v. Wade, to restrictive abortion measures across the country.
• Trump, like some of his Republican colleagues, said that he supports access to IVF after the Alabama ruling. He has also said that reproductive rights should be left largely to the states, but did not weigh in on a national ban.

Driving the news: The new Biden campaign video features Amanda Zurawski, who in a Biden campaign ad earlier this year said she almost died because she was not able to get an abortion in Texas that she needed after a miscarriage.

• In the video first shared with Axios, Zurawski says that she "nearly lost [her] life due to Texas' extreme abortion bans."
• "My fertility was permanently compromised, so my husband and I have been trying to grow our family through IVF," she says.
• "But, thanks to Donald Trump, IVF is now at risk."
• The video will likely feature in future campaign advertisements, according to a person familiar.

Zurawski in the ad also says that "the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade didn't just end federal protection for abortion rights."

• "It also unleashed extreme state laws that are threatening access to IVF."

• "Now today, Trump's MAGA Republican allies in the Senate are planning to vote down a bill that would protect IVF for families across the country," she says.

Zoom in: Congressional Democrats have pushed legislation to preserve IVF access — and are now taking steps to box in Republicans on the issue.

• Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is holding a Thursday vote on Sen. Tammy Duckworth's (D-Ill.) bill to codify the right to fertility services and allow legal action against states that restrict IVF.
• House Democrats are also discussing a discharge petition to try to force a vote on Rep. Susan Wild's (D-Pa.) version of that bill.
• Congressional Democrats' campaign and messaging arms have repeatedly bashed vulnerable Republicans and the GOP as a whole on the issue.
