Hunter Biden's federal gun charges trial set for early June

Hunter Biden's trial on felony gun charges in Delaware was tentatively scheduled on Wednesday to begin on the week of June 3.

The big picture: President Biden's son is also due to stand trial on federal tax charges in Los Angeles on June 20. He has pleaded not guilty in both cases.

Driving the news: U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika set aside the weeks of June 3 and June 10 for a jury trial, but noted the actual days and length of the trial will be determined at a later date.

Special counsel David Weiss proceeded with the three gun-related charges after an earlier plea agreement fell through and a federal grand jury indicted Hunter Biden last September.
