Celebrate Día de Los Muertos at Camp North End today from 12-8pm.

The vibe: Expect community altar displays, traditional foods, folkloric dances, live music, plus cultural arts and crafts.

• At 7pm, there'll be a free screening of Disney's "Coco."

Context: The Mexican holiday dates back centuries to pre-Hispanic cultures and is celebrated between Nov. 1–2, our Axios colleagues report.

• Families remember the dead by assembling an ofrenda at home. The ofrenda is typically adorned with the deceased's photos, belongings and favorite foods, as well as candles and other symbolic decorations.

In October, our team indulged in a mix of oldies but goodies and new eateries.

• My favorite this month was the "Big Gabagool" pizza from Zepeddie's, which recently opened in Lower South End. Although our Instagram comments section is very adamant this is not NY-style pizza (and I kinda agree), the pizza and tiramisu I had were still pretty delicious.
