Restaurant roundup: Italian Eatery will return, St. Paul's new cat cafe

• The team is working to bring back as many menu favorites as possible, per a release, but will also add new items by Travail and an expanded Italian wine program.

The intrigue: The restaurant will have a membership program with a $300 and $600 tier that includes access to a soft opening, early reservations for peak dining times and complimentary bubbles with every meal.

😻 St. Paul just got a cat cafe. Catzen Coffee, a specialty coffee shop with a "den" of permanent resident cats, debuted to long lines Jan. 1.

• The Grand Avenue shop is open daily, no reservations required.

🏬 Kruse Markit, the corner store and restaurant that opened in Kingfield last March, abruptly closed this week, per Southwest Voices. The Instagram announcement from ownership did not give a reason for the closure.

🍛 Union Hmong Kitchen is no more. Chef Yia Vang announced late last month that the standalone restaurant in Uptown has closed, just a month after the eatery also left food hall Graze Provisions + Libations.

• Instead, the Union Hmong Kitchen concept will be focused on catering "in-home feasts" and its stands at U.S Bank Stadium and Target Field, per the announcement.
