The Olympic games have wrapped up in Paris. Here are some of the athletes with Minnesota ties who medaled:
βΉοΈββοΈοΈ The Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards poked fun at fellow NBA star Stephen Curry, whose clutch performances late in the tournament carried the U.S. men's team to the gold medal.
"My boy just got to Paris three days ago," Edwards joked on Instagram, poking fun at Curry's slow start to the Olympics. "But we so glad he got here."
Fellow Wolves star Rudy Gobert won silver with the French team.
βΉοΈββοΈ Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve and forward Napheesa Collier helped the U.S. women claim the team's 8th-straight gold medal in basketball this weekend.
βπββοΈ Lakeville's Regan Smithled Minnesota's medal count in Paris, adding two more golds and three silvers to her career total of eight Olympic swimming medals.
