Stephen Curry, Charlotte's favorite son, was cooking in the Paris Olympics men's basketball semifinal against Serbia Thursday. He scored 36 points and helped Team USA rally from a 17-point deficit to win 95-91.
Why it matters: Curry expects this to be his only Olympics and he clearly doesn't want to go home with anything but gold.
What he's saying: The Charlotte Christian and Davidson alum is a four-time NBA champion, but the Olympics feel different because "I'll never get it back," he told NBC after the game. "This is probably my one and only time to enjoy this stage."
"Chef Curry with a vintage Chef Curry game," Curry's Team USA teammate LeBron James said after the game, using the nickname bestowed upon Curry by the rapper Drake.
What's next: Team USA plays France Saturday at 3:30pm ET in the gold medal game, which will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock.
