Golden Gate Park has seen its fair share of crowds this summer — whether it was music festivals, Dead & Company or other outdoor performances — and some locals aren't too happy about it.
The latest: The park hosted three large concerts three weekends in a row this month, drawing some neighbor ire in the process:
We have to deal with the noise, gridlock traffic, blocked driveways, litter and attendees who think the neighborhood is their parking lot.
Residents are basically trapped in their homes for fear that even if they have a garage, it will likely be blocked, and they won't get back in. Trying to get the city to tow an illegally parked car can take an hour.
Yes, but: It's not just the residents. Dozens of Outside Lands attendees also expressed concern about the crowd sizes after the festival ended.
Some reported people shoving through others to get to the front, while others said they saw people faint, ABC7 News reports.
The big picture: San Francisco's 311 system flooded with complaints that weekend.
One report, with a photo attached, claimed people threw a bottle of pee
"Take your Golden Gate Park concert and go f—k yourselves," another one said.
The other side: City officials say these events rake in millions of dollars for San Francisco, with Outside Lands alone expected to generate $70 million in economic impact.
