Cameron Brink Q&A: "No hiccups" on road to recovery

Catch up quick: The L.A. Sparks star tells Axios what she misses about the Bay Area, why she's excited about Unrivaled and the recent women's empowerment campaign she fronted.

What do you miss about Stanford?

• "Being able to go into classrooms with such amazing minds every day. It's really humbling and pushes you more to be a well rounded human, rather than just a basketball player...I think it really made me a made me want to be a lifelong learner."

What do you miss about living in the Bay Area?

• "Honestly, I miss Oracle Arena, but I love Chase Center. I miss going to Warriors games and being around family."

You're fronting a women's empowerment campaign alongside a few other stars. Why did you sign on?

• "I think we've all seen this new wave with female athletes and especially female basketball players and so them taking the time to make a spot that shows the hard work we're putting in and that we're not just pretty good, we're pretty damn good. It's very empowering."

How do you feel about the momentum of the Unrivaled league?

• "I think it's revolutionary for women's basketball... We're super close and we really care for each other. It's a really great environment to heal in and I just feel very supported."
