Warriors guard Steph Curry named to 11th All-Star game

The Warriors might not be having the best season, but we'll still be represented at the NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco in February.

Driving the news: After being named a starter Thursday, Steph Curry made franchise history with his 11th All-Star selection. That's the most among active players with a single franchise.

• First named an All-Star in 2014, he's been selected every season since other than 2019-20, when he was sidelined by an injury.
• He was honored as the MVP in 2022 after scoring 50 points and setting an record with 16 made three-pointers.

By the numbers: So far this season, he's averaging 22.6 points, 6.3 assists and just under five assists per game.

• The Warriors were 21-22 heading into their Thursday night game against Chicago.

What to watch: The All-Star Game takes place Sunday, Feb. 16 at Chase Center, though there will be plenty of activities on and off the court in the days leading up to it.
