7 Adams and other Bay Area restaurants earn first Michelin stars

Three new San Francisco restaurants earned a Michelin star and another earned the coveted second star in August, Eater SF reports.
Driving the news: Fine dining restaurant Sons & Daughters, located in Nob Hill, now has two stars.
- 7 Adams, a fine dining restaurant in Japantown, queer-owned brunch restaurant Hilda and Jesse, and Kiln in Hayes Valley each earned their first star.
What they're saying: "I remember a time when I was 16 years old looking through the Michelin Guide thinking I wasn't ready to work at the two stars, I'll work my way through, and that's exactly what I did," Sons & Daughters head chef Harrison Cheney said at Monday night's awards ceremony. "It means a lot."
