How to sign up to buy tickets for the 2028 LA Olympics

How it works: Fans can sign up Wednesday through March 18 to be entered into the lottery for a randomly assigned time slot to buy tickets when they go on sale in April.

• It's free to register for the draw, and tickets start at $28.
• There will be multiple ticket drops, and you can purchase up to 12.
• People living in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties can get early access.

The big picture: The 2028 Olympics will be the largest games in history, with more than 11,000 athletes across 51 sports, per the Associated Press.

• LA28 is expected to release a record 14 million tickets for the Olympics and Paralympics.
• The games are July 14–30, with some events, like baseball, basketball, hockey and water polo, starting July 12.
• The Paralympics start Aug. 15.
