- The San Antonio to Philadelphia nonstop route provides the type of connectivity the region needs for continued development.
Why now: Nearly 140 people a day traveled between San Antonio and Philadelphia in 2023, according to data from the San Antonio Intl. Airport.
- The new route offers more options to those looking to travel to or from San Antonio to destinations throughout the Northeast, Canada and Europe via American Airlines' Philadelphia hub.
Worth a mention: San Antonio is one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, and developments are underway at the airport, which recently underwent a rebrand, to match the city's growth.
- Over the last couple of years, the airport has worked with airlines to expand and enhance nonstop service from San Antonio, including to Fort Lauderdale, Kansas City, and Burbank.
- Other major improvements are planned, such as a brand new terminal with up to 17 new and larger gates.
