Great coffee, warehouse vibes. Photo: Megan Stringer/Axios
👋 It's Megan, your loyal coffee correspondent, here to share that Pulp Coffee Roasters serves up some of the best sips in San Antonio in unexpected digs.
Zoom in: Pulp sits on Chestnut Street immediately east of downtown, in a line of warehouses where there aren't many pedestrians or much parking. But don't let that discourage you — you can park on the grass right in front of the shop.
The vibe: Pulp's roasting operations are also home to a small coffee shop. There are long tables and low-lit lamps that create a modern, industrial feel.
A projector was playing a movie on the back wall when I visited.
What to try: An iced vanilla latte ($7). This isn't typically a go-to order for me, but sometimes the basics are best.
Six-word review: Natural, fresh, perfect amount of sweetness.
Pro tip: If you brew coffee at home, definitely pick up a bag of Pulp's beans while you're there.
