Why it matters: Enchanted Rock is one of the most popular — and crowded — Hill Country hiking destinations. The addition of more than 3,700 acres will more than double its size.
It's one of the first parks to be developed with the help of the Centennial Parks Conservation Fund, a $1 billion pool voters approved in 2023.
Zoom in: Public feedback will help determine things like trail and scenic overlook locations, cultural and historical interpretation, parking, visitor amenities and more.
How it works: The TPWD will open an online survey Wednesday. It will remain open for a month.
There will also be two in-person meetings to share feedback and learn more:
Fredericksburg: Wednesday, 6-8pm, 115 N. Crockett St. in the John Wm. Klein Room
Austin: Thursday, 6-8pm, 3601 Lake Austin Blvd., LCRA Redbud Center
The bottom line: You can help shape a state park's future.
