👋 Megan here. I was bummed to learn that Travis Park isn't home to its usual ice skating rink this holiday season — not because I'm great at skating on ice, but because I have fun memories there despite my flailing around.
The latest: Two new ice rinks have opened elsewhere for those of us who still want to make fools of ourselves in public, at Pearl and at Hemisfair's Civic Park.
The Hemisfair rink is open through Jan. 3. Tickets cost $15.
At Travis Park, a new tradition has replaced the ice rink: a holiday tree farm.
Open through Dec. 23, you can also shop for wreaths and garland. And you can get it delivered if you're worried about getting the biggest tree home safe and sound.
The bottom line: San Antonio is unwrapping new holiday offerings this year.
