👋 Madalyn here. Seeing Oscar's Taco House reduced to rubble near Frio City Road and Zarzamora Street — where it stood for over 60 years — stopped me in my tracks yesterday.
Flashback: Oscar's opened in 1962 and served up Tex-Mex and memories for generations of San Antonians, myself included.
The latest: It closed in June after the city bought the land for a railroad overpass, per KSAT.
The bottom line: Oscar's was a San Antonio classic that'll be missed.
