Some San Antonio pools to remain open through Labor Day

Most of the city's 24 public pools closed for the season over the weekend, but seven will stay open through Labor Day.

State of play: The pools will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, 1-8pm.

Cassiano
Heritage
Lady Bird Johnson
Lincoln
San Pedro
Southside Lions
Woodlawn (lap swim available Tuesday through Friday, 7:30-9:30am)

The city's indoor pool — now officially the Atanacio Garcia Natatorium — is open year-round. The new name was unveiled Saturday in honor of the late advocate who championed the pool's opening on the West Side.

Pro tip: All seven of the city's splash pads remain open daily, 9am–9pm, through October.
