👋 Megan again. The best French toast I've had is crispy and savory.
Dig in:Cullum's Attaboy near the St. Mary's Strip is a brunch haven. It's casual in vibe, with walk-in seating and counter service, but upscale in its menu.
Chef Christopher Cullum has been a James Beard finalist. The restaurant also received a Bib Gourmand in the prestigious new Texas Michelin Guide, meaning it offers great food at a good price.
What to try: The baked tomato French toast ($16) is perfectly layered with gruyère and sits atop hollandaise sauce. Imagine the perfect tomato and cheese breakfast sandwich, dressed up for a night on the town.
The 1915 Spudnut Donuts ($9) are worth ordering for the table. Similar to beignets, the fried dough balls are lightly coated in powdered sugar, and surprisingly not too sweet.
